Planning a pop-up test center or exploring ways to support educators through licensure testing? This FAQ covers the most common questions about our Testing Support Services—from pricing and space requirements to test prep options, eligibility, and security. Whether you’re a school district or educator preparation program, you’ll find the details you need to plan with confidence.
1. How much does do these services cost?
Pricing depends on how many test takers you plan to serve, what testing set-up you would like, and whether you include any test preparation support. The best way to get an accurate estimate is to meet with our team. We’ll help design a solution tailored to your needs.
2. What does my space need to look like to host a pop-up test center?
The location needs to meet our minimum security and spacing requirements. We’ve done pop-up test centers in conference rooms, multipurpose rooms (like the cafeteria), conference center ballrooms, and more. We’ll work with you to find the best location.
3. Can we include test prep with our event?
Yes! We offer live, virtual, or on-demand test readiness workshops to support your educators before their test day. These sessions cover test-taking strategies, content review, and more.
4. What types of tests can be administered?
Nearly all Praxis assessments are available for delivery at a pop-up test center. Educators can register for the specific test or tests they need, and candidates are not required to take the same exam at the same time.
5. How far in advance should we plan a pop-up test center?
We recommend allowing 6 to 8 weeks to coordinate scheduling, setup, and required approvals. Testing equipment typically arrives two days before the event and is set up one day prior to administration.
6. Who is eligible to participate?
Our Testing Support Services are designed for school districts and educator preparation programs to support conditionally certified educators, paraprofessionals, Grow-Your-Own participants, and others pursuing initial licensure or adding an endorsement.
7. How is test security maintained?
ETS maintains rigorous standards for test delivery, including secure equipment, controlled room access, and proctor training. All solutions are designed to protect the integrity of the assessment.
