Rescheduling Your Test

If your availability has changed, you can reschedule your Praxis test quickly through your account — just make sure to do it on time to avoid losing your test fees.

You can reschedule your Praxis test appointment by

Step 1: Logging in to your Praxis Account

Step 2: Find your test card in the upcoming section in your Account Page.

Step 3: Click on Reschedule option.

Step 4: Choose your required date and time and Proceed with the checkout process

Important

Important

You must reschedule at least three days before your test date, excluding the test day itself. This ensures you won’t forfeit your fee.

Cancelling Your Test Appointment

If you’re no longer able to take your test, you have the option to cancel your appointment. Be sure to check the refund policy and cancellation deadline before proceeding.

You can cancel your Praxis test by Logging into your Praxis Account


Cancellation Deadline:

To avoid forfeiting your fees, you must cancel at least three days before your scheduled test date, not including the test day itself.


Refund Policy:

If you cancel on time, you're eligible for a 50% refund of your test fee.

The remaining amount covers processing and test center arrangements.

If you cancel late or miss your test without cancellation, your test fees will not be refunded.

Re-registering After a Missed Test

If you missed your scheduled Praxis test, you can re-register for a new date without waiting — as long as your original test was not taken.

If you didn’t take your scheduled Praxis test (e.g., you missed the check-in window or had a technical issue), you can re-register and pay for a new appointment within 3 business days of your original test date.

Good to know:

  • This does not count as a retake, so the 28-day waiting period does not apply
  • You may select an earlier test date if it’s available

To re-register:

  1. Log in to your Praxis Account
  2. Select the same test and proceed with scheduling a new date
  3. Complete the payment to confirm your new appointment

Retaking Your Praxis Test

If you’ve already taken a Praxis test and want to improve your score, you can retake it — but there are important rules about how soon you can register again.

If you’ve already taken a Praxis test and want to retake it, you must wait at least 28 days before scheduling a new appointment for the same test.

This 28-day waiting period applies even if you canceled your scores or didn't perform as expected.

Important notes:

  • You can register at any time — just make sure your new test date is 28 days or more after your last test date.
  • The 28-day rule applies only to retakes of the same test. You may register for a different Praxis test at any time.
