A rapidly evolving landscape

In today’s rapidly evolving educational landscape, artificial intelligence (AI) is dramatically changing how teachers approach their profession as well as how students receive it.
Recently, author Rose Luckin at The Guardian argued that “AI could be a force for tremendous good within education. It could release teachers from administrative tasks, giving them more opportunities to spend time with students.”
Tools for teaching and learning
And with a diverse range of AI-powered tools, educators can create personalized and immersive learning opportunities for their students.
For instance, the following innovative AI tools make a significant impact on teaching and learning:
- Schrodi.co: Teachers, parents and caregivers can create tailor-made stories using this storytelling AI that differentiates each child's interests and preferences. Whether used in the classroom or at home, the interactive elements in these captivating and fun stories stimulate creativity and knowledge so students become more engaged with storytelling and learning.
- Recraft.ai: An AI-powered artboard, Recraft® gives users the ability to generate and edit vector art, icons, 3D images and other illustrations. Its applications extend far outside of the art studio: Educators can use it to add relevant curriculum examples and visual flair to lesson plans and lectures, while learners use it for help with final projects and creative group assignments.
- Wolfram® ChatGPT® Plugin: This plugin integrates Wolfram Research's computational intelligence with OpenAI’s ChatGPT. As a result, ChatGPT can answer more complex questions that pertain to scientific concepts, equations, chemical reactions and more. For both educators and students, that means a deeper exploration of intricate subjects and topics using a digital “partner” adept in “human” conversation, and one that will go with them no matter what form the classroom takes.
- Browsing ChatGPT Plugin: Most generative AI chatbots initially do not have the ability to access information past the date when they were last updated. But with browsing plugins like VoxScript®, ChatGPT can now read information from the internet. This access allows ChatGPT to provide more nuanced conversational content and to reference fresh, present-day information to educators and students.
Redefining classroom spaces
Ultimately, these four AI tools have the potential to enhance the classroom beyond the limits of conventional pedagogy.
They help promote the most important goal: a love for learning in the digital age.
